Acceptance involves acknowledging the unvarnished facts of ourselves and our situation.  Acceptance is the final stage of grief but also described as the foundation for growth and change.  This piece displays red and red-orange lines at the base of the image made with a palette knife to represent that emotion that cuts like a knife.  The viewer then sees these intense lines fade off into a texture of blues and whites until these color fades at the top of the painting.   This represents the emotions around accepting the situation.
